The Youngstown and Southeastern railroad is a thirty-five mile short line (class III) that operates from Youngstown, OH to Darlington, PA. As of 2020, the line is active between Youngstown and Signal, OH, while the rest of the line from Signal to Darlington is used for storage cars. Between Youngstown and Signal, construction and demolition debris carloads are hauled to signal and back to Youngstown. Seed hoppers are also unloaded on the sight at signal. Seasonally, pulpwood cars are loade at signal and get shipped out to the CSX interchange in Lowellville, OH.
